Built by creative operators
Ad Legends began with twin brothers who chose different paths. Steve Metcalf became a tech entrepreneur, building and exiting a global industrial technology company. His twin Dave became a Global Creative Director at Ogilvy. When Dave left the agency in August 2024, frustrated by the industry's slow AI adoption, Steve said: "Great. I've always wanted to be in business with my twin brother."
The 30-Minute Miracle: Before Christmas 2024, instead of just talking about the concept, Steve declared: "Let's just build a prototype right now." In the time it took to finish morning coffee, they had a working prototype. When they fed it a client challenge, Dave's reaction was stunning: "Wow. That's like probably the best brief I've ever seen. I usually ignore briefs." They had built "an ad agency in your pocket."
