Lesson 02 Β· From Idea to Campaign: Creating Ads on Ad Legends
Taught by Dave Metcalf Β· Executive Creative Director & Legendary Copywriter | Ad Legends Academy
Learn how to feed Ad Legends your starting point β whether that's a website URL or a rough idea β and see how the platform interprets your input to kick off the campaign process.
Every campaign on Ad Legends begins with a single input. This is your starting point β the raw material the platform uses to build everything that follows. Getting this step right sets the tone for your entire campaign.
If you have a live website, this is the fastest way to get started. Simply paste your URL into the input field and let Ad Legends do the reading.
The platform will automatically scan your website and extract key information, including:
This gives the Ad Strategist a rich foundation to build your campaign strategy from.
Tip: Make sure the URL you enter is the most relevant page for your campaign. If you're promoting a specific product, link directly to that product page rather than your homepage.
Don't have a website yet? No problem. You can type a description of your product, service, or campaign idea directly into the input field.
A strong manual input typically includes:
Example: "A subscription meal kit service for busy parents who want healthy, kid-friendly dinners ready in under 30 minutes. We're launching in the UK and want to drive trial sign-ups among parents aged 28β45."
Even a two or three sentence description like this gives the platform enough to work with.
Once you submit your input, Ad Legends passes it to the Ad Strategist, which begins building your campaign strategy. In the next lesson, we'll walk through exactly what that strategy looks like and how to work with it.
No problem. You can manually describe your product or service instead of using a URL. The platform works just as well with a clear written description.
The more specific you are β including your target audience, what makes your product unique, and what you want to achieve β the better your strategy output will be. But even a few sentences is enough to get started.
