A plain-language walkthrough for adding Ad Legends from the Plugins menu, then confirming that your brands are available in a fresh conversation. Buying ads that appear inside ChatGPT is a different page.
Ad Legends is not yet listed in ChatGPT’s public Plugins directory. You do not need to wait for that listing. Open Plugins, choose Add, then Add custom MCP server. The connection uses OAuth and signs in to your Ad Legends account. A workspace policy can still hide custom plugins.

Workspace controls, your Ad Legends role, and brand permissions still apply. The plugin should only return brands and actions your signed-in account is authorized to access.

A successful connection returns the brands available to the Ad Legends account you authorized. If the list is empty or incomplete, check the signed-in account and its brand permissions before reconnecting.
That is expected. Open Plugins, choose Add, then Add custom MCP server, and use the form values on this page.
A workspace policy can hide custom plugins. Ask the workspace owner to allow them, or contact Ad Legends for guided setup.
Allow the sign-in window, confirm cookies and pop-ups are not being blocked, sign in to the intended Ad Legends account, and create the plugin again.
Start a fresh conversation. Existing chats may not load a plugin that was installed or reconnected after the conversation began.
Confirm the OAuth flow used the correct Ad Legends account and that the account has permission to the expected brands.
Disconnect or revoke the MCP connection in Ad Legends settings, then reconnect and choose the correct account during OAuth.
The Codex desktop app adds the same brands server from its own settings. It is a local Codex setup, with the same production endpoint and the same Ad Legends sign-in.

No. Choose OAuth, check “I understand and want to continue”, then choose “Create as a plugin”. Sign in to Ad Legends and approve the access. The connection only gets what that Ad Legends account is allowed to do.
A new chat loads the plugin you just created. A chat that was already open may not see it.
Start a fresh chat and ask, “Show my Ad Legends brands.” A successful connection returns the brands your signed-in Ad Legends account is allowed to access.
Create an account, add the custom plugin, and bring your Ad Legends brands into a fresh ChatGPT chat.
